Healing that goes deeper than talk therapy

Brooklyn-based and New York licensed. Virtually now, in person late 2026.

Wholehearted Somatic Therapy

You’ve talked about things before. Maybe many times before. You have the insight. You know the origin stories of why you do certain things and why it’s hard to do other things. And yet, knowing more isn’t helping you change. Somatic therapy centers your nervous system in the present moment and invites you to come into a new kind of relationship with yourself: one that is circled in curiosity, support and respect.

I'm Blake, a licensed therapist and somatic experiencing practitioner. I'm relocating to Brooklyn this fall and couldn't be more excited to start working with New Yorkers. I'm currently accepting virtual clients in New York State, with an in-person Brooklyn office on its way in late 2026 or early 2027.

What we work on

Trauma + Somatic Healing

Some experiences live in the body, not just in the mind, and no amount of talking seems to touch them. As a somatic therapist serving Brooklyn and New York State, I work with your whole self: the story you can tell and the one your nervous system is still holding onto. Together we slow things down and get curious about what your body has been trying to say.

Anxiety

You appear to have it all together on the outside, but on the inside things never really quiet down. Anxiety therapy at Fig looks different than what you might expect. It's slow, soft, and goes beneath the surface to care for the parts of you that learned to worry in the first place. We work less about symptom reduction and more about building your capacity to be with what’s hard. Virtual anxiety therapy available now across New York State.

Disordered Eating + Body Shame

Having a relationship with food that feels good, nourishing, and comfortable is possible. Coming home to your own body and experiencing real safety with yourself is possible. The goal isn't just to help you stop the behaviors. The invitation is to care for the parts of you that needed them in the first place. This work ripples out far beyond food, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you in it. Offering virtual disordered eating therapy to New York residents now.

Relationships + Friendships

The relationships in our lives shape us more than almost anything else. When they're painful, confusing, or just not working, it touches everything and can feel really disorganizing inside of us. We'll look at the patterns, the places you abandon yourself for others, and what it might feel like to show up more fully in your relationships and in yourself.
